The actual police traveling in these cars were standing just behind me as I took this picture.

None shall pass! This bridge was completely blocked off. In front of this wall, an anti-EU demonstration with heavy far-left undercurrents took place.
Anti-conflict team
These, and many other troupes, in yellow, were there to defuse conflicts between the far-left potential rioteers and the police stopping them. They seemed nice enough.
Riot police
This particular block, recognizable by their uniform, had been driven in from Nordrhein-Westfalen. I also saw Bavarian, Baden-Würtembergian and Sachsen-Anhaltian police in various parts of the city.
To the left, we have another block of riot-equipped policemen
The colour of their coveralls tells me that they're from Berlin proper.

Nope. None shall pass. We don't think anyone wants to pass though, so a pair of cars blocking it up should be enough.
